Hello, 2 0 1 5!

2015 has already brought big changes to the Green household, and we can't wait to see where the rest of the year takes us.

- On January 5th, I started my new job as a teller at Zions Bank. I had a week of training, and last week I completed a week of supervised training. This upcoming week I'm settling into what my typical weekly schedule will be. Being a bank teller is probably the hardest job I've ever had; it's a lot to remember, there's plenty of rules and regulations, and it's a non-stop flow of business. They keep telling me that I won't be 100% comfortable in this job till I've been there for about six months. I've had several nights of meltdowns and tears and sore feet. I've also been introduced to starting a 401K and signing up for benefits. Uhm, hello adulthood? It's been weird not worrying about classes or homework alongside Trevor and working 9 - 6 Monday thru Friday. Also, wearing slacks and button up shirts isn't my favorite thing in the world, but I'm slowly discovering that a chunky necklace or sweater can change the cuteness factor.
Jan. 5: First day of work for me//first day of classes for him.

- Trev started another semester at SUU on January 5th, too. Trevor is taking on a heavy load of classes - 16 credits - and is applying for the elementary education program on February 9th. We and his school counselor are confident that he'll be accepted. He's really focused on his classes and staying on top of his workload. We had to buy him a bunch of new dress shirts, ties, and slacks as well because he gets to go out to Iron Springs Elementary once a week for two hours to work alongside a teacher in her classroom. (The teacher he happens to be working with is his aunt Angie - how fun is that?) He loves the hands-on experience he's getting with students in various subjects. He also started classes for his special education emphasis.

- Aubrey came back to Cedar City with us from San Diego to spend time with family and friends before flying back to Nebraska to start a new semester. I think it's going to take me a couple more years to adjust to having a sister, and to sharing Trevor with another woman who loves him as much as I do. ;) Just kidding - I really do love having her as my sister-in-law. She spent a couple of nights with us watching movies and hanging out, helping Trevor with his math homework. I introduced her to the beauty of Instagram, and she promptly set one up for Roger, her Giant Schnauzer. Follow @roger.the.giant on Insta if you want to see a fun, big, lovable teddy bear.

- Because of our early morning schedules, we now have time to get together for quick breakfast dates if our busy schedules allow us to. I think Monday morning smoothie dates to Tropical Smoothie might become a weekly thing for us. Also, since Trev has Mondays and Thursdays off from work, he is going to start making dinner on those nights since I don't get home till 6:30. I came home last Monday to steak, pasta, and salad. I married a winner.

- Saturdays are pretty much the only day of the week that we have together to have date night. During the week, we're both too tired or too busy to do much of anything. Or, if we do catch a moment to be together, it's spent cuddling, grocery shopping, going on Costco runs, or catching up on our television shows. Trev works late night shifts during the week and full 12 hour shifts on Sundays, but most Saturdays his work schedule isn't too unbearable. So helloooo Saturdays with the Green's! This past Saturday we invited Cam to tag along with us to go ice skating (Trev didn't rip his pants this time, haha) and then we had dinner at Chilis. I love any time I can spend with my sweet, hardworking husband.

We're adjusting to our new busy lives, and we couldn't be happier. I love my Mr. Green, and as far as I know, he loves his crazy Mrs. Green. ;) We've almost been married for 18 months on the 3rd of February, and soon we'll be celebrating 3 years together. I have a feeling that 2015 is going to fly right by.

Can we relive the last few weeks of December?

Oh hey! Here we are, 18 days into January - can you believe the month is more than half way over already? Having an 'adult job' that limits access to a computer and down time really has thrown a kink in my blogging life. I took working in the Copy Center for granted. And, by the time I get home from work, I'm exhausted and don't want to do much other than sit on my bum with my husband. Anywho! More on that later. From December 19th on, life got really busy and it hasn't slowed down since. Here's one of my famous recap blog posts.

- December 19th: I was able to go to lunch one last time with my library co-workers and bosses. I enjoyed the past three years I had rubbing shoulders with these wonderful ladies and learning by their examples. Each one will always hold a special place in my heart.

- In the evening of the 19th, Trevor and I went over to the York's house for a little graduation party. You know, because there's nothing better than celebrating being $20,000 in debt for a little piece of paper. Grandma Fullmer came too and participated in the festivities. The cousins decorated the house with fun little signs and drawings, and Angie bought me a graduation ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Grandma made homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner, we went ice skating at the rink by the pond (Trevor ripped his pants on his first lap around the rink - whoops! - so he had to go sit with Grandma and just watch), and we finished the night by eating popcorn and watching a Disney Christmas movie.
Trevie and his ripped pants... poor husband!
- So, uh, the 19th was a lonnnggggg day/night for us. We met up with my bestie Cami and coworker Ashlee for drinks at Toadz to celebrate the end of the semester, and mine and Cami's graduation. The Mexican DJ that night was playing awful music, but towards the end of the night we obviously didn't care and were up shaking our booties (Trevor included ;)).

- December 20th was another long, fun-packed day. I met up with Cami and our old roommates for our annual Secret Santa exchange at Chilis. It's nice to get together with the girls every couple of months and take a break from our busy schedules to catch up. That night, Trevor, Cameron, and I went and watched the final Hobbit movie (holla for never having to sit through another Hobbit/LOTR movie EVER AGAIN!) and wrapped up the night with dinner Zaxby's, the new chicken place in Cedar, and watched the San Diego Chargers game. After a game performance like that against the 49ers, it was horribly sad to watch the Chargers not even make it to the Wild Card round.
Lunch with the girls (L-R) Shalece, Tabby, Cami, Jena, me; missing Hailey!
My handsome Hobbit date.
- I walked out of the Copy Center and the Sherratt Library for that last time (or until I go back to print something out...) on the 22nd. I was emotional, as I expected, and my boss and I drug out our goodbyes for as long as possible. The library really was my home away from home, and despite the long/hard/overwhelming/boring days, I loved my jobs as a secretary and a Copy Center assistant. I didn't want to move into the adult world. Side note: I officially had my bachelor's degree posted to mySUU account on this day; can't wait till I actually have that expensive piece of paper in my hands in May.

- Trevor and I rolled out of bed and headed up to spend Christmas with my family in Lehi on the 23rd. We were able to visit the Fullmer's (Trevor's aunt, uncle, and cousins), spend plenty of time with my family, take Trev to the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork for the first time, eat shakes and talk with my parents, and have three days of fun. Christmas Eve was spent with the Barnes' side of the family at Night at the Museum 3 (Trevor and I cried during Robin Williams' closing monologue as Teddy Roosevelt) and at Grandpa and Grandma's house for the annual Christmas Eve party. Trev, Tedo, and I were the only ones who wore ugly sweaters, haha. We went to bed wearing our new jammies, and woke up Christmas morning to Tedo bending over us on the air mattress asking, "Are you awake yet? Can we open presents yet?" Trevor gave me a Fujifilm Instax Polaroid camera, I gave him some new clothes, movies, and a PS4 controller, and my parents blessed us with a renewed Costco membership and a 6.5 ft. freezer chest - filled with a 1/4 of a pig, cut and wrapped. (: Mom surprised the whole family with "funky hats" (fleece hats to wear in the cold weather) that she had worked on for weeks. We were a lazy bunch on Christmas, lounging around in pajamas and sweatpants enjoying each others company, eating good food, and watching movies. Trev and I headed back to Cedar on the 26th with Tedo in tow, ready to head to San Diego for a week.

- December 27th - January 2nd was spent in San Diego with Trevor's family. We drove down and back with a full car of people. Cam, Tedo, and Aubrey (who we picked up in Vegas) were crammed in the backseat of the Focus off and on the whole week. It was overwhelming for me to be around my in-laws and take care of my little brother, and never have alone time. Trev and I jokingly decided that we are definitely not ready for kids; we're not ready to share each other with little demanding people. I also learned how stressful it is to have a gluten-free child around... yikes. Thank you Lord for letting me eat whatever the heck I want. San Diego was non-stop craziness because we wanted Tedo to have as much fun as possible. We went to La Jolla Cove to see the seals, spent a day at Seaworld, walked around the San Diego Zoo for hours, woke up early and explored the San Diego Safari Park, ate burgers at Hodad's, drove across to Coronado, rang in 2 0 1 5, ate lots of good food and went on many drink runs to the creepy 7-11 down the street, hot-tubbing, playing with Dexter the Lab, played too many rounds of U-NO and Phase 10 with the whole family, and went to the USS Midway. The weather was unusually cold and rainy; of course, the following week the temperatures were in the 80s. Tedo loved his vacation, and was excited to get home to Mom and Dad to tell them all about it. He's already planning on coming back with us in the summer. As for Trevor and I, we can't wait till we can begin our next chapter of our lives in San Diego.

January 5th truly began the new year for us... but more about that in the next post. December, you were great - really busy - but great. I always look forward to you and can't wait for the memories we'll get to make next December.
