-Lunch with Cami-Camilla on a Friday afternoon is always a good choice, especially when there’s Mexican food involved. Nom om om. We celebrated the end of “Dead Week” (the week of hell before finals) and talked about how we are done with school next Friday. Good thing neither of us are leaving Cedar anytime soon. I’ll miss this girl so much when that happens.
-Do you enjoy the awkward selfie below? I do. Thursday I gave my last presentation of my undergraduate career. (ß I say career because going to school full time is like having a job. School has been my life for the past 30,000 years.) I took my awkselfie after walking out of class. Anyway, at the end of my presentation, I curtsied, threw my hands up in the air and said, “And that ladies and gentlemen, is my last presentation as an undergraduate. Thank you.” The class (including the professor) started clapping and cheering like I had won an award. Best moment ever. As of right now, I have one final 5 page research paper for math due next Friday, a final exam in my Marriage and Family Relations class that I can take anytime during next week, and two more days at my internship. After that, I’m a free woman. Hasta la vista, SUU (in a week)!
-All of our Christmas shopping is officially done. No one is without a present. I feel like a bad wife because I’m not buying Trevor anything expensive this year. Aren’t wives supposed to spoil their husbands? Trev has yet to complete his Christmas shopping for me though… Only 20 more days until Christmas! We’re both looking forward to being with my family for a couple of days.
-I’m obsessed with buying baby clothes. I bought the cutest little outfits for my step-sister-in-law and for a co-worker. Both are having little boys – Danae’s due in just a couple of weeks, and Natalie is due in April. I always thought shopping for boys was lame, but I’ve found the cutest stuff.
-One of Trev’s clients at the Chrysalis house he works at got moved to a new house on Monday. Trevor was having a hard time with it because the last time this client moved houses, Trev got to go with him. I too didn’t realize how attached I was to this particular client until I had to tell him bye over the phone. I was in tears and I don’t even work with him! I told Trev to get one last picture with him, for memories sake.
-Remember the cute peppermint wreath I made before Michelle came for a visit? Well, thanks to the damn rain Cedar has been getting the past couple of days (I realllllyyyyy want it to snow!), the peppermints got wet and started to melt. I woke up to a puddle of green and red goo on my doorstep. Oops. No more candy wreaths for me.
