Being married means a new blog.

Hello everyone! And welcome to our married blog!

Like its cute design? Well, long story short, I wanted a cute “married person blog” and couldn’t stand any of the Blogger templates. So I Facebook’d one of my friends and asked her who made her cute blog. She steered me in the direction of Carmina (Simple Joy Design). She was able to take all of my request and create this cute thing. (:

Anyway: married life is great! And by great, I mean we’re poor so we spend our time watching How I Met Your Mother, go on date night once a week, and get to go to bed next to each other every single night. We live the American dream, guys. It’s a little weird to not be planning a wedding anymore. Instead of pinning like crazy to my wedding board on Pinterest, instead it’s all about food, holidays, babies and home décor. Yup – I’ve turned into one of those wives.

Trevor and I are both back in school, each working two jobs, and still seem to like each other. ;) Trev is so close to having his associate’s degree and is finishing up the entry level Elementary Education classes. We had to sign him up for two Comm. classes this semester to fill his schedule, but he seems to be enjoying them. Hopefully by this time next fall, he’ll be accepted into the Elementary Education program, whether it be here at SUU or somewhere else. He was able to score a job working in the T-Bird Grill on campus, besides working hours for the catering team. Same employer, two different positions. The best part about the T-Bird Grill is that it’s steady hours and he’s learned skills that could help him with other part time jobs, like how to work the cash register and such.

As for me, I’m still working in the copy center and upstairs for the administration in the library. I can’t believe I’ve been working in the library for two years next month; time flies when you’re having fun, right? My classes this semester are both good and bad. There’s finally light at the end of the tunnel for me since I’m a senior this year. I have no motivation to do any schooling, and I’m already counting down the days till graduation, but I’m not going to quit now. I have three communication classes left to take, and one bitch of a math class, and then I’m done. No more school for this girl. The thought of being done with school and having to find a "big girl job" is terrifying and exhilarating. The plan for right now is that if I'm able to score a job in Cedar City (hopefully on campus as an administrative secretary or something) then we'll stay here and Trevor will finish school. If I'm able to get a job outside of Cedar City, we'll go there. Depending on whether it's in-state or out-of-state will determine Trev and his schooling.

But as for now, here we are: married, happy, and in love. And I wouldn't change anything for the world. We are so blessed and grateful for the opportunities we have been given thus far, and can't wait to see what the future holds for us. Want to follow our journey?
