OH HEY THERE.
It's March now.
February, unlike its predecessor January, flew right on by.
It's been a couple of crazy weeks here at the Green household.
And even though I have had plenty of time to blog at work and when Trev's working,
I just haven't felt motivated to.
No motivation = no blog post.
So, here's my attempt at trying to catch up on life.
Be warned, it's long and full of pictures.
Trev and I officially survived the weekend of craziness (February 14 - 17), in which all of his family came to town, I had a massively huge PR event, and it was Valentine's day. Valentine's day dawned early at for the Green's. Trev was so excited that he wanted me to see what he got me before he went to class at 8 a.m. I grumpily stumbled out to the living room to quite the display on the coffee table. My sweet husband bought me the complete set of all the Boy Meets World seasons, chocolate, roses, a Ducky Dynasty cup, and a Duck Dynasty card. "I even spelled I love you in chocolates without Pinterest's help," Trev told me. I admit, I cried. I went into the back bedroom and brought out Trev's gift to wrap up 14 Days of Love. I gave him a man-basket full of his favorite treats, a movie, a video game, and some special stuff *wink wink*. Trevor was quite pleased with how 14 Days of Love ended, and is already looking forward to next year.

Trev got home from classes at noon, and we spent a good hourish together before I left the apartment at one-thirty in the afternoon Valentine's Day to head over to Marie's French Bakery to begin set-up for our PR event. Even though it's stressful to be in charge of something so big, I love seeing everything come together and knowing my hardwork and hours of stressing had paid off. After my team and I took down the candy displays and had everything moved around to how we wanted it, we draped the place in tulle, pictures of Paris, and white lights. I'm so lucky to work with capable people too because without them, it wouldn't have come together so efficiently. Every seat was filled for each dinner seating and couples thoroughly enjoyed their night. Our professor and our client sang nothing but praise for us. Our photo booth that we set up was a bigger success than I thought it would be, too. I guess everyone loves a good photo booth. Trev brought Michelle, Danny, Cameron, and Grandma Fullmer to the dessert seating to show them what his wife can do and what she will do for a living. My in-laws were impressed; it was fun to take a break and sit and chat with them about what mine and Trev's goals are for the future and where my type of career can take us.

I crawled into bed after midnight, my feet and back aching. Saturday, February 15th, dawned way too early. We spent the day with the Green side of the family for Grandma Green-Wade's 80th birthday party. It was fun to meet more extended family who I've heard of, but never met. Chase and Aubrey (Aubrey is Trev's sister, Chase is her husband) told us they were going to be driving through and stopping for a few hours to visit on their way to Texas to take Chase to more Airforce training. They ended up staying till early Monday morning which was awesome because we hadn't spent time with both of them together since last March. Chase and I formed the Spouses' Club, and we stuck together all day Saturday while Trev and Aubrey ran around visiting family. We left Grandma's for a little bit to take everyone over to our apartment to show it off and then ended up back at Grandma's to play cards. Before I met Trevor, I never played cards. Now playing cards is one of my favorite things to do, thanks to his crazy card playing family. Aubrey and Chase ended up staying at our house that night, and Cameron (who stayed with us the night before) went over to Grandma Fullmer's because he was going skiing with Danny and Michelle the next morning.
Sunday, February 16th, we woke up around ten-ish and made breakfast. Cousin Colton came over and ate some yummy breakfast sandwiches with us. Colton then headed back home to Grantsville, Chase left to go and visit his uncles, and Aubrey stayed with us as we started the first season of Boy Meets World. Michelle, Danny, Cameron, and Zach were going to meet us for dinner at Winger's, so we decided to get ready for the day. Winger's was delicious as ever. There's just something about sticky fingers and family that makes the world a little bit happier. We said our goodbyes to Cameron, Michelle, and Danny that night, not knowing the next time we're going to see them. Trev can't take off too much time for work, and his boss likes to schedule him on weekends, thus taking away our chances to sneak away to San Diego for a couple of days. Cameron might be coming to live with us next month, so stay tuned for that. Chase went to go say goodbye to his family, while Aubrey came with us to the York's to say goodbye to the kids. Those little cousins love Aubrey so much. They delayed her leaving as much as possible by jumping on the tramp and playing three rounds of Clue. Finally, we took pictures and the kids said teary goodbyes to Aubrey. The love of a child is so strong.
We said our goodbyes to these two goofballs at 4:30 in the morning on President's Day. We don't know the next time we'll be seeing Chase; he's in Texas for four months for training, and then Washington State for two months before being stationed in Omaha, Nebraska in August. Aubrey will be going her husband in Omaha after their six month separation. I have so much respect for military wives; I could never be away from Trev for six months or two years. My anxiety would probably kill me. The rest of President's day was spent working and doing laundry, as well as catching up on our TV shows.
I've been trying since December to get together with a bunch of my college friends, but we've all had such busy schedules that dinner hasn't been able to work out for us. Getting together was long overdue. With family gone home and my big PR event out of the way, on February 18th, the stars finally aligned (minus Hailey's, who we missed!). After Cami and I finished watching Pretty Little Liars (we get together every Tuesday and watch it together - yes, we're PLL addicts ;)), we met up with Adam, Tabby, and Shalece at Lupita's for Mexican food, margaritas, and reminiscing. We might not have liked each other sometimes (heck, we might not like each other sometimes now!) and we might not see each other all the time now, but my first couple of years of college would not have been as fun, memorable, and full of learning experiences without these people. We all went through so much. They're some of the best friends a girl can have, and no matter where life takes me, I want to be able to call them up randomly just to see how they're doing.

I kicked off Friday the 21st with getting pulled over by a lovely Cedar City police officer. I hadn't been pulled over since January 2011, so I was a little nervous about this officer's reasoning. I wasn't speeding, I didn't cut anybody off, etc. I knew he was going to pull me over too, because he literally followed me from our road all the way down Main Street. When he finally pulled me over and walked up to my window, I was a little annoyed. He told me my left brake light was out and then informed me that my car didn't have insurance on it. Uhhh, bull shit, sir! I gave him all of my information. After a couple of minutes, he was back at my window apologizing for his mistake and telling me to get my brake light fixed. I made it to class just in the nick of time. Friday was also the first time any library employee wore their new Gerald R. Sherratt Library t-shirt, and I got to pose for a picture with two of my favorite co-workers. Despite being pulled over, it was a good day.
When you work all day at the Copy Center on a Saturday, and do nothing with your night since your husband's at work except for watch full seasons of Duck Dynasty, you find fun apps called "Beard Booth" and add the signature Duck Dynasty beards to yours and your husband's pictures. We're a couple of hotties, right?
Or, instead of wasting away watching Duck Dynasty while the husband's at work on a Sunday, I get crafty. This is our new wreath, just in time for St. Patrick's day and springtime. I love that our last name is Green, because it gives me the perfect excuse to do anything green, no matter the month or the upcoming holiday.
Monday Februay 24th, Trev and I were able to see Tyler and Shannon and meet their newest addition to the Cates' family (besides Shannon's growing belly with baby Ellie inside). Little puppy Jasmine is a mix of a Boxer and a Heeler, and she was the cutest, cuddliest little thing ever. Trev wasn't home from running errands when Tyler, Shannon, and Jasmine showed up at the apartment, so when he walked through the door, I told him that they brought me a late Christmas present. My poor husband's face went from happy to sad as he told me we couldn't keep her and we'd have to give her away like we did with our kitty Luna back in September. Tyler laughed and told Trev she was actually their puppy. Party pooper. The boys went for a ride in Tyler's new truck, while Shannon and I stayed in the apartment with the puppy talking about her pregnancy, their new house, and everything else. I have to admit, I'm kind of jealous that Tyler and Shannon are having a baby. Don't get me wrong, I'm SO excited for them, and little Ellie is going to know us as her aunt and uncle. But I want to be a mom and Trev wants to be a dad so bad. Baby hunger is eating us alive. We know though that our time will come someday, and it'll come when we are more financially prepared and ready for a baby. After all, babies aren't all fun and games. They're expensive little suckers.
Since we have a habit of having such fun Family Home Evenings (math homework on Monday nights, whoot whoot!), we headed to the school Monday night after Tyler and Shannon left to have our taxes done through VITA. We waited patiently for two hours before being seen by a tax preparer. We weren't expecting a big tax return at all, so we we were pleasantly surprised when the man told us we were going to be getting back $116 back from the state, and $2,410 from federal. Thank you, higher education and marriage! We had big ol' goofy grins for the rest of the night, and just knowing we were going to be getting back that much money made our week a million times better. It's always nice to know extra cash is coming in.
On the 26th, with our big tax return on its way, I booked tickets for us to go and visit Aubrey in Monterey, California the second week of May, and then Trev and I headed to Staples where I finally bought a new laptop. My poor Dell laptop has been falling apart for months, and Trev promised me that with our tax return I could buy a new laptop. After researching, asking friends and family, and shopping around for the best deals, I walked out of Staples with a 17.3" Toshiba laptop with 6GB main drive and 750GB hard drive. Rag on Toshiba all you want, but it's been pretty great so far. We wrapped up our Wednesday night with a nail appointment with Amanda (Mrs. Green finally got green nails) and rootbeer floats from A&W. I love any chance I get to spend with my husband, even if it is running errands and nail appointments.
Yesterday, Trevie and I kicked off the first day of March with 50% off smoothies at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in between me getting off work and Trev going to work. Tropical Smoothie is Cedar's latest and greatest food place, and we love it. Trev is determined to try every smoothie on the menu, and I'm just glad there's something different in town than just the usual McDonald's, Subway, Wendy's. It was our quick little date of the week.
So, there's a wrap up of the past couple of weeks! Life is going fabulously. I love my husband and our life together so much. Somedays, my negative nancy personality expects it all to come crashing down because it's just so good; so good that I probably don't deserve it some days, but I'll take what I can get! Obviously there are going to be bumps in the road, but I can't wait to see where life continues to take us. I may not get to see Trev all the time now because of how many hours he works at Chrysalis, but I think it helps strengthen our relationship and communication. He works so hard to provide for us. Tomorrow is our 7 month anniversary, next week is spring break, both of us are loving our jobs and making good money, and we are extremely blessed. We get to see my family, (who ended up not coming to Cedar Valentine's/President's Day weekend due to a mother pig birthing), the end of March for Tedo's 12th birthday. School, espeically math class, is also going well for both of us. I got a 98 out of 100 on my last math test, people. That high score just gives me one more reason to yell at math department chair Dr. Armstrong for not having faith in me. I get to register for my last, LAST semester of college the first day of April, and I start an event management internship in May. My husband and I have fun plans for the summer, including a family trip with my family to Disneyland in August. I'm happy, in love, and loving life.
The end. Thanks for reading or skimming through this massively large post. I promise to get better at blogging again, so there's less of these types of posts, haha.
