Oh hey there!

Oh boy, oh boy, where do I begin?

First of all, hello blogging world! I don’t think I have any more blog followers, but even if I don’t, this blog is mainly for me and my future posterity anyway. Sorry yet-to-exist children and grandchildren – mommy//grandma gets so busy with life sometimes that she puts blogging on the back burner, no matter how many times she promises to do better. Ooops.

After months of not having an update, let's do a very wordy update, shall we?

Mr. Green – is finishing up requirements, fixing the last of his bad grades in school and studying for the Praxis exam so that he can apply for the elementary education program in February. We missed the deadline to apply for spring block, but his counselor said he has a great chance of entering the program for fall 2015.
Trev's 'second' day of school outfit

Mrs. Green – is TEN WEEKS AWAY from never going back to college, ever again (unless her future employer pays for her to go to grad school, that is).
First day of school outfit - August 25, 2014
Mr. Green – is slated to graduate in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, with an additional license emphasizing his training in special education.
***Side note: I was actually really bummed to hear that Trev wouldn't be graduating until May 2017 because that means 2 1/2 more years in Cedar Shitty City. For some reason, I thought we were going to get out of here sooner. Blame it on social media, but I feel bummed watching my other friends and their husbands move or do cool things because in my mind, Trevor and I are stuck here and aren't progressing. One week of depressing thoughts, feelings and long talks with my husband about life and decisions, and I realized it wasn't so bad after all. Once Trev has his teaching degree, we can go anywhere we damn well please.

Mrs. Green – although technically done with school in December, won’t actually graduate (aka: walk across a stage to get a diploma) until May 1, 2015.

Mr. Green – still loves working at Chrysalis. Refresher: Trev got hired in January by Chrysalis to work in a house with three different moderately to more severe handicapped individuals. He was at one house from January till June, and then switched to a new house along with one of his clients. He loves this new house, and the clients love him. It makes me so proud to see how gentle and loving Trevor is with such special individuals.
Fishing with his clients at the lake on the hill.
Mrs. Green – dedicates way too much time to copying and printing and dealing with foreign exchange students who don’t understand American money and chatting with her boss and coworkers in the Copy Shop in the library. I’ve worked in the library for three years now – THREE YEARS – and get anxiety when I think about leaving my home away from home for a grownup job.

Mr. Green – has been saving up his lawn-mowing money for a new XBOX One and spends one or two nights a week shooting people, stealing cars, and pretending he lives a high risk life by playing Grand Theft Auto 5.

Mrs. Green – has a husband who loves her way too much because he helped her purchase a new 2012 hatchback Chevy Sonic. Stick shift and inferno-orange colored, of course. {I talked about the new car a little bit more in my Highlights of Summer '14 post.}

Mr. and Mrs. Green – have no desire to become parents until the IUD has to be forcibly removed in April 2018, but that doesn't mean that we don’t have severe baby hunger now and again. I'm following all of the Mormon mommy bloggers that I can because they seem to have the cutest babies.

Mr. Green - convinced his wife to watch the 12 episode comeback season of 24: Live Another Day this past summer, and now she refuses to watch the rest of the 24 seasons because of how utterly depressing and highly stressful the show can be.

Mrs. Green - got a new camera for her birthday {thanks Trevie!} because I shattered my old one while we were in Monterey visiting Aubrey. Now I like to pretend that I'm just another white girl photographer. ;) Just kidding, but my new Canon camera takes nice quality photos. Next up, I want a Fujifilm Polaroid camera and a GoPro.

Mr. and Mrs. Green – have a new little ‘niece’ named Ellie, who is almost four months old. Want to know more about Ellie? Click here. I spoil her with clothes every chance I get – it curbs my baby hunger.
Mr. Green – works a lot of hours, especially at night and on the weekends, leaving his wife on the couch with Netflix and an afghan blanket for company. Trev works so hard for us and I appreciate everything he does for me.

Mrs. Green – has two internships this semester to keep her busy: one is with the Forest Service assisting with a program to increase women wildland firefighters in the Manti-La Sal, Fishlake, and Dixie National forests. The other one is with Intermountain’s Valley View Medical Center in the Public Relations Department {my dream job!}.
First day of my internship at the hospital - August 26, 2014
Mr. Green – loves tacky anime shows (The Legend of Korra) and likes to pretend sometimes that he is a water//air//metal//earth bender. HA.

Mrs. Green – hammered through all nine seasons of Criminal Minds on Netflix in order to watch the current tenth season. However, by subjecting myself to so many serial killers and freakiness, I am a much more paranoid person.

Mr. and Mrs. Green – had a really fun summer but it ended all too quickly. Now that the leaves are changing and cold weather is coming, we’re both dreaming of warmer days in San Diego with Michelle and Danny.
Imperial Beach in San Diego with Trev and Michelle - July 19, 2014
Mr. Green – is still Tedo’s favorite person. I became second priority when I married Trevor, because my little brother loves him more than me. Tedo's coming with us to San Diego in December for a whole week.
Fishing over the 4th of July weekend - best of buddies.
Mrs. Green – has tried to go back to her natural hair color (dirty dishwater blonde) and my hair is the lightest it has been in years. I miss my dark brunette/close to black hair, but Trevor loves my lighter look. I’m sitting at a light brown/dark blonde.

Mr. Green – still deals with his wife’s PMS and anxiety craziness like a champ. Seriously, someone give that man a gold star. He’s going to be so great with our daughter(s).

Mrs. Green – had way too many friends graduate this past May, so this semester she's going solo on a lot of things dealing with PR. I did love seeing my friends when they came down to visit during SUU's Forever Red homecoming celebration.
SUU's graduation day, May 2, 2014 - Becca, me, Tommy & Jessica
SUU's Forever Red Homecoming - September 12, 2014
Mr. and Mrs. Green - are ready to move into an apartment that allows pets. We want to get a French Bulldog puppy by next summer and name it Milo. We also want a kitty named Meeko. Meeko and Milo will grow up the bestest of friends.

Mr. Green - was able to meet his all-time favorite band in August at Van's Warped Tour in Salt Lake City and see them perform. He thought it would be the first and the last time to see them because they had announced that they were going to be done after this year. Anberlin {his favorite band} is now on their final tour and announced a tour date in Salt Lake City. Luckily, we were able to buy tickets. Anberlin, we're coming for you in two weeks!
Trev and Cameron meeting Anberlin - August 2, 2014
Mrs. Green - still loves getting her nails done by Amanda. I've had the cutest nails over the past couple of months. The girl has talent! If any of you blog readers up North want her to do your nails, she comes to Lehi once a month//every three weeks.

Mr. Green - gets dragged to country concerts by his wife, but normally puts on a smile and deals with it. We went to Keith Urban in August at USANA Ampitheater, and it was awesome. Trev actually likes Keith Urban now. I think it's because KU is a little bit more rock-n-roll than country.

Mrs. Green - was given the PR Student of the Year Bronze award back in April at the Communication Awards Banquet. It was such an honor, especially because my two best friends received the silver and gold awards.

Mr. and Mrs. Green - still love each other very much. Marriage is indeed the roller coaster that we signed up for. It's fun to So far this semester, we've been so busy with work, school, and different schedules that it's been hard to spend time together. We've definitely noticed how important it is to have a weekly date night once a week. Mr. Green is still my best friend, my number one partner in crime. We lead such a happy and blessed life. But, in honesty, let me be the first to say that every day is not happiness and butterflies. In fact, some days it's flipping hard and we each want to bash our heads through a wall. Trevor and I believe though that if we keep working hard, rely on each other, dream as big as we can, and continue to love like crazy, we'll be just fine.

Whew! That was a long, random post.
Kudos to those of you {if any} who read through that whole post.
I'm not going to promise to blog once a day, or even once a week.
But I'll try to do a monthly recap.
I miss writing.
