March Madness

March was madness. Madness not because of the insanity of college basketball, but insanity because it was another busy month. I say that every month, but March was full of more work hours for both Trevor and I, and school got busier for Trev. I felt like I was drowning for attention and quality time with Trevie. #needywife >> there is no truer hashtag to describe me. We had a couple of great date nights and a lovely getaway. Also, for the first time in YEARS of going to school, I didn't have a nice, relaxing spring break. Nobody told me that being an adult meant no spring break! ;)
Here's a photo dump and highlight reel for March:

March meant green nails for Mrs. Green. Amanda did such a great job on them!

The first Monday of March, the snow that Mother Nature so graciously dumped on us knocked the power out. Gratefully it was five minutes to closing time because let's be honest, can a bank survive without power? I think not!

March means midterms, which means lots and lots of homework, tests, and assignments. Trev spent a lot of time between work and classes at the kitchen table just like this, bent over homework. What a cutie.

During a rare morning/afternoon off before Trevor went to work at 6, we ventured down to St. George to use my Olive Garden gift card from Valentine's day and to grab necessities at Costco. Then we spent the rest of the time before Chrysalis stole my husband snuggled up on the couch. I hope heaven has a couch for us to snuggle on.

How I feel about kisses in public, hahahahaha.
Saturday nights are meant for double dates (plus Cameron) to Pizza Cart with Trev's cousin Colton & his girlfriend Tiffany, and then cosmic bowling at Cedar's bowling alley with my man.

While I was at work, Trev sent me a picture of him and Jaylin. This little girl has us wrapped around her little finger, and convinced Trevor to come over to watch Mr. Popper's Penguins with her during his break between classes. After the movie, Trev said that they ran back and forth on the hardword floor acting like penguins. Mr. Green is going to be a great daddy someday.

First time ever wearing a one-piece swimsuit, and I loved it!
I think if days were spent under blue skies and palm trees, the world would be happier.
I felt bad for not being able to do anything for spring break with Trev. He of course had no complaints because he could sleep in and play video games as much as he wanted. I decided to book us a hotel room at the Virgin River as a little getaway for the weekend because we neeeeeedddded it. We spent two days gambling (I won $16 on the penny slot machines and then lost it all again...), swimming in the pool, eating at the buffet, laying in the sun, bowling and playing the arcade like a couple of kids, and enjoying quality time together. I wish every weekend could be a weekend getaway with my love. I simply can't get enough time with him.

After getting my senior pictures done by Paige Hurst Photography in St. George (that post is coming!), Trev convinced me to try Golden Corral Buffet. Growing up, my family always ate out at the same places: Cocolitos, Chilis, Wingers. We didn't try anywhere new and we sure didn't eat at buffets. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed with the food, but any place with cotton candy is an automatic A+ in my book!

She loved playing Legos with and climbing all over her uncle Trevor.
Look at this face! Tell me with a straight face that she isn't the cutest thing ever.
We look forward to our monthly date nights with the Cates' when they're in town during Tyler's 7 day off from the mine. This month's date was spent at Lupitas and hanging out at our apartment playing with Ellie and watching Trev and Tyler play Playstation. Shannon and I also continued planning our big summer vacation - more on that to come. (:

The perfect day-off from the bank calls for buying something bright and happy for the kitchen, a fresh lime squeeze from Slurps Up, and Mike and Ike's. The only thing that would've been better was a husband to hang out with.

Since I'm a 6 o'clock closer at the bank, I have lots of chances to take selfies and send Snapchats. Oops. Don't worry, all of the work gets done.

A man and a puppy - I'm in love.
This is Sue, the most cuddly little lamb in the world. She can literally snuggle with you like that for a long time.
March 27th - 31st was spent in Lehi with my family for Tedo's 13th birthday. Every time we go up north, it amazes me to see how big my littlest brother is getting. In my eyes, he'll always be my little buddy with the sweetest personality. I have to remember that for these upcoming teen years. He had three birthday requests: 1) go to The Puppy Barn in American Fork, 2) play Monopoly, and 3) go to the Festival of Colors at the Hare Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. He also wanted Costa Vida for dinner and a bowling party with the Barnes' side of the family. I know, I know, what a demanding 13 year old. ;)

Note to self: always attend the Festival of Colors on Sunday, because the rest of Utah County shows up on Saturday and the Mormons are in church on Sunday. We were in and out in two hours and left covered. Tedo kept walking around tossing pink powder on big burly guys saying, "Real men wear pink!" Trev and I were dying with laughter - we love that kid. And, with all the color that the boys tossed me, I had a slightly colored blonde hair for a couple weeks afterward.

Sunday night, we got our trash kicked at basketball by Big T and Tedo at Dad's school. I love being the janitor's daughter. ;) We also longboarded the hallways and raced Tedo's battery-powered monster truck around the gym.

Married couple love is Facetiming each other while one is at work and the other is at home, and taking ugly screenshots of each other. This was one of the best ones.
