Country music speaks to the heart.

November 7: Watching the CMA Award show last night with Trev reminded me how much I really love country music. So today, I am grateful for country music. Don't get me wrong, I love all sorts of music, but country takes the cake in my book. Watching George Strait, Kenny Rogers, and Alan Jackson perform brought back a flood of memories of my childhood. Country music has always been a staple in my life. I will forever be a country music fan, no matter how not so country (*cough cough Eric Church, I'm talking to you!*) it might get. I firmly believe that country music has some of the best singers and songs, and that country can speak right to the heart. There's just something about sitting out underneath the stars with your loved one, taking life in, listening to a country song. As I mentioned yesterday Trevor doesn't like country music, especially thanks to his ex-stepfather who is *or attempt to be* a country singer. But Trevor respects my music, and sometimes he likes it. After all, I did drag his butt to a Luke Bryan concert AND our first dance as husband and wife was a country song. Thank heavens he puts up with me, because I've had ex's in the past who couldn't stand my love for country. What truly is wrong with a lil' country music? :)

Now, I've complied a small list of some of my favorite songs and artists of the country genre. I have many, many favorites, but these top my list at the moment and have for a couple of years now. Enjoy some of my favorites; maybe you'll like them and they'll be your favorites too. <3 (:

Luke Bryan: this onethis onethis onethis one, and this one. (Anything by Luke Bryan is fabulous, especially because he is hot. The end.)
Lady Antebellum: CompassNeed You NowJust A KissLove Don't Live Here, and Love I've Found In You. (Lady Antebellum is another group you can't go wrong with. I love them. Been to three of their concerts, and I'm never disappointed by them.)
Sugarland: Something MoreTonightStuck Like Glue, and All I Want To Do. (Sugarland, whether they're on hiatus right now or if Jennifer Nettles goes solo, will be one of my favorite groups.)
Taylor Swift: I love anything by Taylor Swift except for three songs. So, naturally, I couldn't pick favorites. But you should all love Taylor Swift. Who doesn't love Taylor Swift, like really?
Thompson Square: this was our wedding songthis is a new one, and  this song is beautiful. (Thompason Square is similar to Lady Antebellum, but it's a husband-wife duo, and they have so much talent.)
